Yesterday the Canadian Olympic Hockey Team defeated the United States Olympic Team in a 3-2 overtime game, that was one of the best hockey games in recent history. The U.S. had shocked the Canadian team earlier in the Olympic Tournament in a 5-3 dominating performance.
So America, stop your damn pouting. The U.S. team wasn't even suppose to medal and yet here we stand a day after the heartbreaking defeat with a Silver Medal. Thus all of you should stop crying about how you were so close to the top because frankly you should have never been there in the first place.
But props to the American team because they put on a performance like the world has not seen in centuries. Plus they put hockey back on the map, at least for a little while.
And another thing go thank your goalie Ryan Miller for even getting you to the Gold Medal Game. Miller was named MVP of the Olympic Hockey Tournament, as he stood strong for the Americans in every game. Yes, he gave up the winning goal that has all of America so depressed but once again stop pouting. He gave up the winning goal to Sidney "The Kid" Crosby, who really isn't a kid no more and is arguably the best hockey player in the world.
No one can stop Crosby one-on-one, not even an Olympic MVP caliber goalie like Miller.
So congratulations U.S.A you won a Silver Medal, which is more than anyone had expected you to do. Raise your heads high because this team will find its own place in history in the years to come for having one of the most memorable Olympic performances, falling just short of epic.

Nice writing. Not quite ready to quit recording PTI, but keep up the good work.
